Announcement of a vacant position on the Governing Board of the Yarnell Elementary School District

Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has announced a vacancy on the Yarnell Elementary School District Governing Board.

The opening is created due to the fact that board member Krystal Balls and her family are moving out of the school district. The effective date of her resignation was June 16, 2021. We greatly appreciate the service she rendered to the school and to the community.

To be eligible for this seat, a person must: be a registered voter in the school district, be a citizen of the United States of America, be at least 18 years of age, have their civil rights, have resided in continues in the school district for at least one year before assuming office, and they or their spouses may not be employed by the district, or work for the district under contract with a third party.

The deadline for receiving letters of interest is Friday, July 9, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Mr. Carter will interview the finalists at Yarnell School on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. The nomination is expected to be announced by Thursday, July 15. 2021., and be valid at the time of the oath, until December 31, 2022.
