For the third year in a row, Lacey Construction of Mission has been awarded Custom Home Builder of the Year by the Fraser Valley Canadian Home Builders Association.
The CHBA Fraser Valley Housing Excellence Awards took place on April 23rd and Lacey’s team won Custom Home Builder of the Year for 2021 – following the same victory for 2020 and 2019!
“All of this is possible thanks to our team”, said Erik Lacey, “our local team, our trades, our suppliers and, above all, our customers, have made it all possible.”
The evening was held at the Abbotsford Airport Hanger with nearly 200 builders and supporters, including Mayors Paul Horn and Henry Braun, as well as MPs Pam Alexis and Dan Coulter and other dignitaries.
According to Lacey, construction has never been more important than now, helping residents recover from unprecedented wildfires and flooding. The BC Construction Association notes that the current value of construction is $134 billion and employs over 170,000 people in the trades.
Lacey Construction also celebrates its 23rd anniversary in May after Erik Lacey founded the company in 1999.
It was a banner year for the Lacey team, recognized by the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce as Outstanding Business of the Year and Community Champion by the BC Builders Code.
