San Angelo Home Builder Endorses Wilson for County Commissioner

SAN ANGELO — San Angelo homebuilder Rocky Templin Jr. has endorsed Lori Wilson for County Commissioner Tom Green Pct. 4.

Below is Templin’s letter endorsing Wilson:

“I’m Rocky Templin Jr. I’m a local builder, Ridgecrest of Rocky Templin, and I’m currently Vice President of the Home Builders Association of San Angelo. I’m also a husband and father of three very active kids. It’s thanks to my role as a father that my family met Lori Wilson several years ago.

My kids are involved with the Tom Green County 4-H Equestrian Club, where Lori is in charge of the club. We saw how she brought a business management approach to club operations that benefited everyone. Club leaders are each able to focus on their strengths for projects, and I think the club has grown in membership as a result. This means more young people in Tom Green County can benefit from the 4-H program.

Lori was also responsible for bringing Texas A&M University (TAMU) Summer Riding School back to Tom Green County. She has worked with local members of our 4-H Horse Club, Texas A&M University, Grogan’s Farm & Ranch, City of San Angelo, San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association, local hotels and others to making all the necessary arrangements to host a 2 day riding school that has attracted families from all over Texas, as well as additional revenue for Tom Green County.

Lori has the ability to bring the right people together to make things happen. She has a keen sense of attention to detail and is totally committed to completing a project. She’s not afraid to get in there and do the hard work herself to bring positive benefit to everyone.

I believe these are exactly the skills we need in our county government. Lori Wilson can bring new insight, drive and focus to help our county meet the challenges ahead.

I give my endorsement for County Commissioner Tom Green, Precinct 4, to Lori Wilson.”

Rocky Templin, Jr.

Early voting begins Monday, February 14.
