JAMMU, February 6: A meeting of General Body of All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha was held today in Bishnah to discuss elections of General Body of Sabha and arrangements for idol installation ceremony from Sant Kabir on February 13, 2022 in Kabir Bhawan, Bishnah. The issue of necessary amendments to the Sabha constitution was also discussed as some of its provisions are currently outdated.
FC Bhagat, president of Sabha, delivered a welcome speech and it was decided that an election committee would soon be formed to start the process of new elections in a democratic manner.
It was decided that on February 13, a procession in the form of Jhanki carrying the statue of Kabir Sahib would start from Bari Brahmna Chowk at 11 a.m. culminating in Kabir Bhawan, Chak-Avtara.
Other issues discussed at the meeting included those regarding the completion of the building and the start of the coaching courses at Kabir Bhawan at the earliest to support deserving students who cannot afford the high fees at private institutions.
GR Bhagat, senior vice president of Sabha; OP Bhagat, Manohar Lal, General Secretary; Tirth Ram, District Chairman, Kabir Sabha Samba; Dr. Gurdass Bhagat, Chairman of the Disputes Committee; Bodh Raj, Surinder Bhagat, District Chairman Reasi, Block Chairman Ashwani Kumar and Sunil Chagathia were also present at the meeting.
