Sooners receive crystal ball for 23-year-old 4-star athlete

Fresh off a massive recruiting weekend, the Oklahoma Sooners continue to build momentum as they replenish their 2023 recruiting class. One of the go-to names on their board is homegrown star Jacobe Johnson of Mustang, Oklahoma. Overall, he is considered a four star athlete. The Sooners could target the 6-3 Johnson to play on the attacking side of the ball.

The Sooners first recruited Jacobe Johnson under Lincoln Riley. Despite Riley’s departure and amid an offensive transition, the Sooners continued to prioritize Johnson.

Everything they did made an impression, so much so that OUInsider’s Brandon Drumm at 247Sports recorded a Crystal Ball showing in favor of the Sooners.

This is the second showing from 247Sports that brings Johnson to Norman. Oklahoma should feel very good about their position in recruiting Johnson.

Johnson is one of the top two-sport athletes in the state, holding Power Five deals in football and basketball. Oklahoma State could end up being the Sooners’ biggest threat to Johnson’s services, but right now, there’s no reason to doubt the Sooners are in charge.
